Chief Medical Officer's Log

Posted on Sun Oct 11th, 2015 @ 8:15am by Captain Hazel Qoll

The inoculation and treatment of the recent contamination is all but complete, with no new cases of passive or active degradation reported, and, only five patients receiving ongoing treatment - including Commander Remdan. It should not be much longer before the Commander, and the four crewmen, are returned to active duty with a clean bill of health.

I must admit that I am impressed with the speed and efficiency of the medical staff in administering to such a large volume of patients. Regardless my assistant, Doctor Irs Fenuz remains an enigma - our first meeting resulting in me disciplining him and our second in a series of queries that first year Starfleet Medical should have sorted out. I am conscious that I am not yet accustomed to his dark, almost cynical, humour - this is something that I will double my efforts to understand.

Ens Miller's initial posting medical was carried out - and apparently, the Dallas' "Trill Doctor is well known" - I honestly did not think I had been on board long enough to get to know everyone, let alone gather any sort of a reputation. Regardless I have spoken to the Captain about scheduling baseline medicals with all the crew and will work with Department Heads to ensure it happens. I envisage having to make a house call to ensnare the Captain, though she proclaims otherwise. Lieutenant Aeglossil is scheduled for tomorrow.

Note to self: I must schedule team building time in the holosuits for both Alpha and Bravo medical shifts, maybe a holonovel of popular choice - a well familiarised team is an efficient one after all.
