| Physical Description | Short brown hair styled into a neat bob frames an attractive, slightly round, face. Her Trill spots are partially obscured by her hair but are unmistakably identifiable on her neck, forming small clusters of intricate patterns over her fair skin. Occasionally stray hairs fall in front of almond shaped hazel eyes that scan meticulously over her surroundings as if searching for a solution to a problem. Standing at average height her physique tells of someone who enjoys regular physical activity without making it their driving priority. She often adopts a confident, attentive posture although taking pride in her appearance. Like all of her species she has particularly cold hands – a trait she comments on regularly when treating patients. There's something alluringly warm about her, perhaps it's a feeling of hospitality, her well honed bedside manner, or perhaps it's simply her openness and genuine smile. |

Personality & Traits
| General Overview | Qoll: As a symbiont Qoll could be described as quite patient. Qoll has understanding that while it may strive for new experiences, the host living only one life, will experience many things for the first time that may be a repeat for it. In that vein Qoll does not directly influence the hosts life direction, but rather, subtly influences choices towards things that it thinks both host and it will excel at. Hazel: Qoll is an outstanding doctor and surgeon, drawing on the experience of a past host to bolster her already formidable understanding of carbon and copper based life forms. She is by the book and rarely will she remain silent if she believes something violates Starfleet's, or her own, morals. Having gained recognition for previous experience and advancing rapidly at both the Academy and SF Medical, Qoll is often unsure in situations where she has had little previous exposure and takes time to ease into such situations. Qoll will often put patients care above her own and could be described as a bit of a workaholic. She believes in structure and formality, though that is not to say she doesn't enjoy letting her hair down when she feels comfortable with those she is around. |

| Strengths & Weaknesses | Psychological Profile: "As would be expected of a Trill that shares the experience and memories of a multitude of lives, Hazel displays an insight and wisdom beyond her years. Intelligent, organised and open, Hazel is quick to form emotional bonds with those she works with including her patients." "Hazel approaches her duties in an efficient, almost routine, manner where failures are internalised in an effort to ‘get on with the job’. This leads to confidence while in familiar environments but leads to timidity when in situations outside her usual scope of influence. Should she suffer several setbacks in a short period this may severely damage her confidence and capacity to for fill her duties." ~Doctor Aemila Telis. + Excellent surgeon and cutting edge geneticist, skills honed over two lifetimes. + Competent diplomat, negotiator and energy matter specialist. + Patient, considerate and caring. + Very confident in familiar situations +/- Strong moral and ethical stance which can lead to difficulties when situations conflict with those. +/- Very open and honest. - Timid in unfamiliar or new situations - Extensive use of telepathy causes her acute headaches, leading to eventual seizure - Workaholic, often to the detriment of her work and those around her - Chronic fear of the Borg, a result of PTSD. - When exposed to any consciousness altering effects she struggles to differentiate between herself and previous hosts, particularly Farriq. - Very susceptible to toxins and radiation due to Trill hyper metabolism. - Has a tendency to become too familiar with those she is comfortable with, a problem when in the context of senior officers. - Internalises failures, leading to self doubt |
|
| Ambitions | Though it is contrary to the beliefs of the Federation, Qoll is a silent supporter of genetic engineering - her ultimate goal is to manipulate the genome of the Trill symbiont in light of the terrorist attacks on the Annuated that occurred in Trill's recent history. | |
| Hobbies & Interests | Frontier medicine Volleyball High speed recreational vehicles Genetic modification Kormerek - as a result of PTSD Holonovels, specifically mysteries Natural remedies Debating |
| Personal History | Previous Hosts (most recent first): Toren Qoll: A jovial, get the job done type of Trill that acted as the ambassador to Bolarus IX. His crowning achievement was negotiating a joint trade initiative between the Trill and Bolians that saw several non-member planets receive humanitarian aid after a plague proportion outbreak of leaf miner that devastated food crops. The continual joint aid effort was solely responsible for the aversion of starvation on the affected planets. Toren was known to make friends of those he worked with (or argued against). Jenessa "Jen" Qoll: An esteemed surgeon in the Trill Ministry of Science, Jen pioneered experimental procedures involving the transplant of biosynthetic limbs to replace those lost by combat veterans. In usual limb replacement there were some instances where biosynthetic limbs fail, not due to the limb itself but due to neural trauma in the wound of the damaged limb, which would hinder the bio-electric signals required for the synthetic muscles to function as with a "real" limb. Jen focused her attention on perfecting the microsurgery that would allow the bio-electric signals an unbroken path, and hence prevent the synthetic limb from failing. Ferriq Qoll: Described as genius broker and self created commodity tycoon (though most would say he was a selfish, self indulgent, narcissist) Ferriq built a successful trading empire from the ground up. Cent his business in state of the art liquid gel computer memory cores, it was not long after that rumors circulated of high volume weapon trading with the likes of the Ferengi, Nausicaan's, Orion and Suliban. Ferriq met an untimely end after ingesting a potent venom masked in a drink - many suspected his rumoured trading partners were the cause. Subsequently on his death, 1500 Trill children received full scholarships, all expenses paid, at the learning institute of their choosing within the Sector. Pikko Qoll: A proficient energy conversion engineer, Pikko developed a prototype accelerator-generator that increased propulsion by an estimated 23% on small craft without requiring additional sources of electro plasma. The technology was only minimally adopted by manufactures of shuttle and small auxiliary craft - however was readily adapted to several type of interceptor. Crysanthie Qoll: Commander Crysanthie Qoll, Starfleet service number 39-Foxtrot-110, served as first officer on the USS Claymore a Cheyenne class heavy cruiser. After exemplary service Crysanthie was critically wounded during a skirmish with a Romulan survey task group and unable to be resuscitated was placed in an induced coma to ensure the survival of the Qoll symbiont for return to Trill. |
