Development Log, Hazard Operations Armour.
Posted on Sun May 1st, 2016 @ 2:29pm by Ensign T'pali
This is my third Log entry regarding my work on the Hazard Operations Armour System.
An emotional addition, i am truly pleased to announce that my efforts to adapt the field technician portable fabrication buffer to the hazard operations armour.
Through the efforts of Engineering aboard the Cychreides, and with some assistance from the development lab at the starbase to which we are presently docked, the pattern buffers for the hazard operations armour now has a maximum tested operations time of twenty seven hours, two hours beyond projected estimates for the improvements.
This provides a fully workable system that can house a number of stored patterns for weapons and essential field equipment for dangerous mission scenarios.
Having discussed these upgrades with both Captain Mae, and Lieutenant Commander Zus previously, I am proud to be able to present the armour system for use.
My efforts do not end here however. The captain has expressed a wish to expand our armory with a variety of weapons to be utilised in dangerous away missions.
A requisition order for an industrial replicator to be installed in the armoury is in the works, to be dedicated to the replication of these arms, and i shall be compiling a library of replication patterns for these weapons, including weapons we may recover and reverse engineer from enemy forces.
It is my hope that this experience will allow me to devise a method for which an energy recharging circuit may be adapted to further enhance the hazard operations armour, and provide an indefinite operations time for the pattern buffers, and allow the unit to be turned into a standalone piece of equipment that may be used with other Armour systems such as the M.A.C.O battle armour, and our Hazmat suits for extreme conditions and EVA operations.
This however, is not my first priority. Readiness of the crew, as well as drills for ship security and combat scenarios will take the most of my duties for the next few days before we depart the starbase.
Further logs will be produced as and when further developments can be made to the Hazard Operations Armour platform.
