Personal Log, Hazard suit field test.

Following successful field testing in a hostile environment, i was able, with the assistance of Engineering, to produce improved working prototypes of the Hazard Operations Uniform.
At the request of Captain Mae, i have also produced Division colourations of the suits, for use by the Cychreides crew.

Latest improvements to the portable transporter buffer have increased it's maximum operation time to Twelve hours. I am still not satisfied with this length of time, and shall continue to seek alternatives. For the time being however, twelve hours provides a significant window of operation for field missions.
Portable Replicator technology will not be suitable, the power requirements and module size are an unacceptable increase in weight. I am working with engineering to adapt field technician fabrication buffers to the design. Projections estimate this will bring the maximum operation time, without recharging the internal power cell, to twenty eight hours.
Improvements can be made by increasing the charge of the power cell, and introducing a recharge circuit similar to that of a hand phaser. I am investigating the possibility of this method.
End of Log.

Supplemental:
It occurred to me that the recharge circuit used within a hand phaser could be easily retrofitted, however the power draw from the power cell would overwhelm it with constant use.
I have requested instead, the technical specifications from the mk XII M.A.C.O Operative Personal Shield generator. The circuits used within such shielding is more hardy, and intended to continue to operate when the shield is under constant stress of weapons fire.
I believe this will be a highly suitable technology to adapt, as well as improving the pattern buffers, i may be able to use the same design with modifications to enhance the personal shield generators build into the suit's shield harness.
