Personal Log,
I have compiled the replication patterns for mk2 prototype hazard suits. By using existing hazard team blueprints brought back by the U.S.S. Voyager, along with upgrades in personal armour technology, I have managed to create a light weight, flexible, and hardy suit of field armor.
-Data on the replication patterns is included within the log file- (( http://imgur.com/a/UBtqU ))
The upper body is re-enforced with poly-alloy weave, and is outfitted with a personal shield harness to enhance the coverage offered by away team personal shielding.
At present, the transporter buffer requires a separated module tied to the personal shield generator as a power source, to lengthen the time before pattern degradation.
Testing has kept the patterns active for seven hours. The wrist module utilises replicator technology similar to that of a field medic's kit, allowing away team members to produce their arms from the pattern buffer.
This continues to be an immensely satisfying project, and the official approval i recieved from the commander has renewed my enthusiasm.
It is my hope that utilising the facilities on board the Cychreides, and the expertise of my colleagues, that i will be able to extend the buffer's pattern storage to 48 hours or more. At present, the system will be useful for limited fielding on specific missions.
Ideally, a focus on portable replicators will allow the system to operate indefinitely, with only the need for a power source to activate the replicator, rather than maintain a pattern buffer.
End of log.
