Cychreides’s first mission was not very different then the prelude on Bajor – full of subterfuge and explosions.
The preparations went exceptionally well. We’ve performed a level 1 diagnostic and calibrated the minor deviations in the transporter power matrix. The new sub-routines I’ve implemented perform as expected, with a 25% increase in power output efficiency.
Following the skirmish in the DMZ, our hands are full with replacing the fried shield emitters and calibrating the new shield matrix. Lt. Essex has been experimenting with a new approach to shield matrix deployment to achieve highest overlap ration and so to increase the shields strength. It seems that his ideas have merit, but we will have to replicate more of the new model emitters to bring them into reality.
The other matter on our hands is the analysis of the data gathered at the True Way base. The preliminary analysis shows a patchwork of old, 40 years old Cardassian and Dominion technology and a new, state of the art, cloaking and weapon systems. It is obvious that this organization is not living solely on a past glory and scavenged material - it has a new benefactor and new goals.
Some of the readings are still unclear or may have been distorted by the dampening field, and we’re waiting a cross reference results from Starfleet intelligence to get a better idea into what we’ve got.
Overall, the ship performed exceptionally well under the circumstances and shown she a sturdy little fighter suited well for lone missions deep in the enemy territory.
