Mission: Episode Six: Behind the Lines
Location: U.S.S. Cychreides

Plans for the upcoming away mission are coming along efficiently, with calibrations to the new shields and weapons systems for the Cychreides herself, the personal shields the M.A.C.O team shall be using, and the shuttle they shall be making extraction upon almost complete.

Chief Chico is proving to be quite an inspired engineer, it took him only a few small hours to have the anti-chroniton shielding prepared.

I myself have ensured that the magnetic dampers for the away team are calibrated appropriately to prevent the feedback effect from the shielding when used by infantry.

I have also finalised the biometric locks built into replicated weapons from the armoury. Command codes have been implemented, allowing tracking of weapons when picked up by other crew members. The locks will allow transfer in two ways.

1. If the present authorised user of the weapon releases the lock on his weapon, it will become entirely locked, but will accept command codes from a new crew member to assume it's use.

2. In the event that a crew member is incapacitated or deceased, and therefore unable to release his lock, the weapon will automatically enter a free locked state, and will await command code input from authorised crew.

Each crew member may use their Starfleet commission serial number with this system as their command authorisation code.
